The Governmernment purchased for closer settlement the Yongola estate of 53,000 acres for .£123,000. Administration of New Guinea. Brisbane, August 21. The Premier bitterly complains of the indifference of the other States and the Federal Government in regard to the New Guinea difficulty in obtaining the

funds for administration. If the Federa Government continues to neglect the matter he will have no other course than appeal to the Imperial Government.
