THE COBDEN ROAD.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —The attention of the County Council has been drawn to the state of the road between Giblin’s Hotel and Cobdcn bridge, but it seems to have had no effect. It is simply disgraceful that such a state of things should exist in the “ancient city of Cobdcn,” and all for the want of a few loads of gravel. Hoping the matter will be taken in hand, and thanking the Harbour Board for the splendid lamp erected at Cobden quarry. I am, etc., —

Resident.
