Entertainments just now are quite the "talk of Ahaura, for two concerts are within measnreable distance and elaborate preparations are being made for both. The concert and ball to be held on the 23rd inst promises to be' a great success. In addition to local talant, your correspondent •understands that some Greymouth vocalists have been engaged to assist at the concert, and as the object—the Grey Biver Hospital—is a worthy one no doubt the Affair will be a financial success. The second entertainment is to be a ■concert and organ recital to “open” the new organ which is to arrive in a week or <0 lor the Anglican Church.
