Berlin, August 12. Enormous crowds gathered at Kronberg. There was a great military pageant.
Doctor Dryander, Court chaplain, officiated at the impressive funeral service.
The Kaiser was present dressed in the uniform of the late Empress’s Regiment of Block Hussars. He led Queen Alexandra to a seat. Edward, in the blue uniform of the Prussian Dragoons, led the Kaiserin to a seat.
Besides the relatives there were present Count von Bulow, Count Waldorsee, Lord Clarendon, Admiral John Fullerton, Lasaelles, and Bishop Ripon. The Royalties started for Potsdam during the night. Prince Henry’s squadron is nearing Kiel.
