New Yobk, August 13. The Steel Trust declined to refer the dispute to Arbitration. The Federation of Labor supports tbe Amalgamated Steel Workers. The Recent Gold Robbery. John Winters was arrested at San Francisco. He confessed to the Selby gold robbery and revealed the hidden gold. Tariff Rise in Malta. London, August 11. A mass meeting was held at Malta to protest against the taxation under the Order-in-Council, and violent speeches were delivered afterwards. In the Union Clubs the Union Jack was torn down.
