Ottawa, August 5.
Canada is anxious for the consummation of the great Imperial project, and has waived the objection raised by her in conneetion with the Pacific cable, although still contending that the Hew South Wales privileges granted to the Eastern Extension Company are inimical to the future prospects of the Pacific scheme. She promulgates an Act passed last session dealing with the cable, and announces her readiness to pay 5-18ths of the cost.
Sydney, August 5. Advice has been received that a steamer leaves London this weak with the Mauritius-Cocos section of the cable, and another a few days later with the OocosFremantle section.
