RAILWAY EXTENSION TO INANGAHUA JUNCTION.
(OUB PABLIAMENTABY EKPOSTBE.)
Wellington, This Day.
A deputation from Nelson and West Coast, interviewed tbs Premier and HallJones yesterday, with reference to the construction of the railway from Eeefton to Westport which they urged would open up a large tract of country, bearing coal and timber and much agricultural land. Hall-Jones said that a trial survey had been made, but owing to differences of opinion in Reefton regarding the route, the matter would not be far enough advanced to allow of a sum to be put on the estimates session.
