Died from Accident. Wellington, July 27.
George Elliot died in the Hospital this morning from injuries received on the 9th instant through being jammed by a log rolling off a truck at Akatarawa, near the Lower Hutt. The Farmers’ Union. Palmerston North, July 27. The Farmers’ Union refused to amalgamate with the Producer’s Union, but will welcome members of the latter as ordinary members of the Union. Compulsory Insurance. ,
It was decided to ask Government to bring in a Compulsory Assurance Bill on the lines of the German Act.
