Wanganui, This Day. At a meeting last evening under the auspices of the Ministers Association, resolutions were passed unanimously that In every opinion of this meeting gambling is a growing evil and seriously detremental to the moral and financial well being of the people. That this meeting considers it most unrighteous on the part of the Legislature of the Oolony to legalise in any form of such national evil as gambling, and respectfully urges the Government to pass a bill on the matter. The meeting passed a resolution commending on the action of Willis, the member for the district in supporting the Tote Abolition resolutions.
