At tlie A. J. S. Bank’s annual meeting [lie profits of the past six months arc £100.057. After paying interest on deposit on stock a surplus of £13,450 remained. £II,OOO was applied to special station accounts and the balance added to the surplus. The report stated that the Banks New South Wales station properties, owing to the d'sastrmi' drought, have given no returns during the hail year. A further rcpayment,oi deposit on stock will be made in January next.
11 Arrests over Otto Cribb’s death. Eleven men, principals in the boxing contest, were charged with being concerned in the death of Otto Oribb, and remanded on ball pending further enquiries.
