ISLINGTON, July 23, The Arbitration Court, which has been considering the breaches of the butchers’ award to-day, gave its decision in regard do the cases in which judgments had been raeld over.
’ In.the case against Jesse Chittendon, charged with having employed an assistant over 19 years of age at a wage less than that prescribed in the award of the Arbitration Court, the judgment of Court was that defendant pay the extra 7s 6d with Court costs and witnesses’ expenses.
In the case of Pollocks and Gilkes, employing boys, the Court also held that there had been a breach.
There was also a breach cf the award by Spark and Phillip, and in both cases the Court indicted a moderate penalty of 10s with Court costs, and the expenses of witnesses.
Haines, whose case was heard this morning, was in a somewhat different position and he would have to pay a fine of 10s, and Court costs, not witnesses expenses.
