At a meeting of the Butter and Cheese Makers Association this afternoon it was decided to form the sub-districts of Taranaki province into three district centresInglewood, Hawera and Opimaka. Wairarapa and Hawke's Bay for the present season included Manawatu with Palmerston North as a centre. The Nelson and Marlborough districts are to be included with Wellington, the Canterbury districts as desired. It was decided that the Agricultural Department bo asked to examine tho employees in creameries and factories usuing the Babcock test and issue certificates of competency. Resolutions were carried in support of the establishment of dairy schools in tho North Island and urging the desirability of issuing excursion tickets to factory operations 1 during the winter months, and granting excursion tickets to managers and assistants over both Island for proceeding to dairy shows, conferences and classes.
A hearty welcome was tendered to Mr Singleton, dairy expert, and the proceedings terminated.
