Cutting the Telegraph Line
Hong Kong, July 22. The Chinese cut a portion of the telegraph line near Tientsin. London, July 22. The Times Pekin correspondent states that the magistrate at Shooyangsien, who sent the missionaries handcuffed to Taiuenfu, where they were murdered, has not been removed from his position despite the edict ordering him into exile.
Sir H. Satow has demanded his exile.
