CONCERNING GREYMOUTH.
(OUE OWN CORRESPONDENT.) The Borough Loan. Wellington This Day. The A,M.P Society are willing to take up the Greymouth loan. Further details will be arranged to-morrow. Greymouth Railway Station. Ronayne says that the Railway station here is to be moved shortly to provide for more accommodation. The Wellington Gasworks. The Wellington gasworks are being removed but they are not suitable for the Greymouth extension. The Racing Conference At the Racing Conference the Grey delegate sprung a surprise as to the voting power, and upset matters. The resolution to grant the Grey Club two votes bad 20 for, and 13 against. The Chairman declared that a three-fourths majority was necessary and declared the resolution lost. The delegate challenged the ruling, quoting other classes in support, other members supporting the contention, and Samuel raised a further point. The Chairman asked for an adjournment till the next day. On reassembling he said the points raised necessitated a unanimous vote to validate proceedings. Tills, after going into committee, was agreed to, and the extrh vote given to Grey and Taranaki.
