[OOE PARLIAMENTARY BEPORTJSR.] Employment of Troopers. Wellington, This Day. The duty of Qovernmeut towards returned troopers was touched upon by the Premier at luncheon yesterday, when he said that to read that any of our lada were stranded on their return would be a slur and disgrace to the colony. Government, employers of labor, and all who possibly can help must help ihe contingents back to employment, and in that way pay per- > manant and proper respect to their services rendered to the Empire and the. The rifles used by the returned troopers at the front will have to be handed back to the Defence Department for marking, and whilst, it still remains Government property each trooper will have reissued to him the riflo he had with him in ScU-h Africa. This refers to the whole ot the contingents.
