Nelson, This Day. At a meoting of fruitgrowers on Saturday night it was resolved to form an association embracing the whole district, for the purposo of placing the sale of Nelson fruit on a satisfactory footing. It was proposed to open a wholesale depot here, and that agents be appointed in Wellington and possibly other centres to receive and specialise Nelson fruits for private sale. Blackmore, Government Pomologist, attended the meeting, and a rommittee was appointed to draft rules and submit them to a future meeting.
