HOSPITAL TRUSTEE S BOARD.
A meeting of the Gray River Hospital Trustees Board was held at the Gilmer Hotel yesterday afternoon. Present—Messrs Petrie (chair), Phillips, Sheedy, Russell, McCarthy and ■^Armstrong. Accounts for the months of May amounting to £164 16s 2d, and for Jnne £193 16s were passed for payment. During June 64 patients were treated in the Hospital, 17 wore admitted and ten discharged, leaving 64 in the Institution at the end of the term.
The hon. treasurer' reported the following receipts since the last meeting : C. A. Board £216 13 4 Maintenance C. Mercer ... 10 8 0 No Town Sub-Committee... 24 16 0 General Govt. Subsidy ... 27 13 19 Moonlight Sub-Committee 19 17 0 O. A. Pensioners ... 39 1 8
£338 9 10 The assets amounted to £378 11s 6d and the bank overdraft to £460 8s 4d.
Mr. Yarrall tendered his resignation as a member finding it inconvenient to attend. Eesolved that Mr. Yarrall’s resignation bo accepted with regret and that a letter be sent to him thanking him for past services, Proposed by Mr. M'Carthy, seconded by Mr. Sheedy that Mr. E. J. Smith be appointed to the vacant seat.
