Wellington, This Day. Police Provident Fund. '
On March 31st last, there were eleven
members on the Police Provident Fund their aggregate, annual allowance being £1,014 17s 4d. The balance to credit of the fund at the same time was £9,185, being an increase of £5,828 on amount at corresponding date of previous year. This prosperous condition of the fund is, report says, mainly attributable to many of the police force who are eligible to retire, but who have not thus far availed themselves of their right to do so. Yalaation of Land Department.
During the last financial year, the receipts of the Government Valuation of Land Department totalled £26,042. The expenditure includes £10,511 for salaries ; £8,340 for clerical assistance; £3,769 for travelling expenses, and £2,237 to valuers and for revision of districts.
