During the week ended Saturday there were 980 deaths from heat in greater New York. Appeal Case London, July 9. In the Appeal case of tha Lime Company versus Carr, originally an action to recover damages for seizuro of ammunition aboard the steamer "Beluchistan" by ' the commander of the warship 'Lapurng' in the Persian Gulf in January 1898, the House of Lords has overruled the decision of the Court of Appeal given in May of last year and. found in favor of defendant, thus restoring Justice Granaham's original judgement.
Colonial Imperial Representation. London. Jul y 9. The Bills of Titles' Bill will not be submitted this session unless it is unopposed. It will possibly be eventually associated, with the rumoured measnre taking thirty seats from Ireland, which is now over represented, and conferring them upon the colonies.

Berlin, July 9.
The son of A. B. White, the American Ambassador at Berlin, committed suicide as the result of illness.
