The Opposition Programmes. Wellington, This Day. The Opposition desire is to remove the impression that they have practically ceased to exist because they have failed to elect a leader. They say they intend to use every means in their power to prevent the passage of any injust legislation, and criticise the administration of the Government as freely as they consider necessary. They insist on the House being given full details of the various items of expenditure. State Fire insurance.
The Premier sprung a surprise on the House of Representatives by introducing a “ State Fire Insurance Bill."
