NEW ZEALAND TELEGRAMS.
[pee press association.] An M H R. Resigns. Christchurch, This Day. Lewis, M.H.R., has forwarded his resignation to the Speaker of the House of Representatives. It is understood that he is dissatisfied with the amount of interest in politics diplayed by his supporters. Bright and Sunny Wellington. Wellington, This Day. The weather is a remarkable contrast to that of last year. The months of May and June were the most persistently wet months experienced for many years so far the winter has not really begun. The air mild and often close. Very little ram has fallen and the days bright and sunny with an unusual absence of wind.
