Grey Live Stock Market.
Messrs G. W. Moss and Co report torday’s sale at Preston yards as follows : The entry consisted of 65 cattle and 3GO sheep, of which 20 cattle and 100 sheep ex ship, the balance being from Grey Valley and Teremakau districts. All lines were cleared at late ruling rates. We sold the following stock :
Fat Cattle —On account of Mr Wil liam Claughesey, 9 forward steers, £6 2s 6d. On account or Mr P. Moore, 7 prime handy weight bullocks, £6 to £7 ss. averaging £6 10s ; 6 heifers. £4 17s 6d to £7 17s 6d, averaging £6 2s. On account of Mr J. Ross, 2 bullocks, £5 15s and £7 5s ; 2 heifers, £5 12s 6d. On acccount of Mr A. Caras, 1 steer £6 5s ; 17 heifers, £4 5s to £6, averaging £5 ss. Fat Sheep—On account of Mr N. Paulsen, 40 wethers 20s ; 68 ewes 19s. On account of Mr P Buttola, 65 prime crossbreds, 18 s 9d. On account of Mr M’Neill, 14 prime crossbreds 19s. On account of Mr Wecniok, 71 prime crossbreds 16s 3d.
Fat and Store Pigs—2s for clients from £3 15s for baeonen, £1 16s porkers and 9s for slips.
