At the annual meeting of the City' Licensing Committee the business was disposed of in 20 minutes, every application being granted.
Northern Mining Returns.
Auckland, June 8.
Daring the four weeks ending May 27 tho Waihi Gold Mining Company treated 12,481 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £33,339. This is the highest monthly yield ever obtained from the mine. Tho total amount won from the mine to date is £1,676,901. ■
The Koraota Reefs Gold Mining Company’s return for the past month is £I7OO from 480 tons of ore.
