Government stock on the market, and inviting the Premier when next placing a loan to give Americans the chance of showing what they could do, The Premier, commenting on the proposal, says that while he believed the usual course of. going to the British market should be generally followed still, if it became clear that better term could be got in other countries, he would be in favor of accepting them. Adelaide, This Day. The Premier states that no new principle is involved in the sale of loan stock. It has been disposed of in large or small quantities for years, and the same system will be adopted by the Agent-General's office. Tho Stock Exchange expressed strong objection to the proposal of the South Australian Government to sell Loan Stock ovor tho counter whenever a likely market offers.
