Acquitted for Murder.
Dunedin, May 27.
At the Supreme Court in the Otarama murder case, in which William Thompson, one of the seamen, was charged with the murder of Gibbs, another seaman, the foreman of the grand jury after retirement asked whether the verdict of a majority would be taken. His Honor said that in order to find a true bill twelve grand jurors must the bill. After a brief retirement the jnry announced that they found no bill and the accused was discharged.
