BRUNNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the abovo was held in the Council Chambers last evening. Present: The Mayor, Ors. Noble, Nyberg, Watson, and Eobinson. Letter from Grey Borough Council, asking if this Council would join them in erecting Abbatoirs. Besolved that this Council cannot see its way to join. Prom Wostland County Council asking if this council will join in erecting a bay on tho route of the Christchurch procession during the Duke of York's visit. It was resolved tha,t Council be informed that this Brunner cannot see its way to cooperate with them.
From Postmaster-General, Wellington, stating that site for new Post Office at Brunner will be dealtwith when Mr Ward visits the district.
From Colonial Secretary acknowledging the receipt of election of Mayor. Besolved that Mr F Wills be appointed collector of Dog, Vehicle, and other licenses. t
A number of accounts were passed for payment and a number of minor works ordered to be done.
