GREYMOUTH HARBOR BOARD.
The fortnightly meeting of the above Board was held last night, all members present.
Mr Walton reported upon land applied for by. Mr Jay. He stated it was capital timber land, and should bring in good revenue. Held over till next meeting, A quantity of correspondence was read in regard to the bore hole at Dobson, upon which a long discussion ensued, members being dissatisfied with the progress made, it being pointed out that if a series of holes are to bo put down, the present rate of progress would never do. It was on the other hand affirmed that all the initial difficulty was now over, and that steady work would now ensue.
It was resolved to get the Board's Engineer to go up and generally report thereon.
