THE PATEA SEAT.

Palmerston North, This Day.

It transpires that Mr. George Hutchison’s resignation of the Patea seat is in the hands of Mr. Muldrock, of Patea, who has stated that it would be sent in as soon as Captain Russell gave the word. It is also stated that the question of handing in the resignation was submitted to the Chairman and Secretaries of Mr. Hutchison’s election committees months ago, on the understanding that their advice would be followed.
