ROWDY HARBOR BOARD MEETING.
(per peess association.) Nfw Plymouth, May 17. The harbor board meeting to-day was very exciting at time 3. More than one conflict took place over the chairman's-, roling. One of the members, unknown to the others, locked the Board room door. This was the outcome of the last meeting, when his motion in reference to the appointment of Government nominees lapsed for want of a quorum, the three Government members having retired before the motion was put. Great confusion and uproar ensued when the door was discovered locked. Attention was called to the illegality of the proceedings. Eventually the door was opened from the other side by another key. When the chairman put the motion several members were standing and loudly talking. At the same time no opportunity was given for an amendment, and no vote wa3 actually taken; but the chairman declared the motion carried and vacated the chair. The meeting ended in confusion.
