The King has intimated that he will accord Sir A. Milner an audience immediately he arrives from South Africa on Friday. Lord Salisbury aud Mr Chambeidain will accompany Sir A. Milner in his audience.
In the House of Commons Mr Chamberlain announced that Government did not intend to rebuild the farm houses m South Africa.
Ninety more Boers, including commandant Baron Svorstei and Heystek, ex-Landrost of Pietiersburg, surrendered. It is now stated that Commandant Lotter Van Renan (not De Wet) has led a fresh force across the Orange River m Zuurburg. They are hoping to join one of the bands roving over Cape Colony.J The Times' Pretoria correspondent and Reuter's Durban correspondent agree that a daily stream of voluntary capitulations everywhere is the result of the British campaign in the bush veldt and the severity of the winter.
