The warships experienced much troubte in getting away through desertions. The Brooklyn has been delayed a day while work aboard the Gromboi was almost entirely suspended and she may have to remain for a week or a fortnight before the men have been secured.

The Australian Squadron has proceeded to Brisbane, and will reach there on Tuesday morning. Chapman, of New South Wales, has bsen appointed the Federal Government Whip.
