JAMIESON’S REWARD CLAIM.

By the returns of the various dredges at work on the West Coast abundant proof has been given to assure Colonial investors of the necessity for giving assistance to the development of one of the most lucrative industries in the colony. Though at times the returns have provoked discouragement, sufficient evidence has been given to warrant the justification of this through the inability of the dredges to do the work demanded of them. Among the most satisfactory claims aro those of the Nelson Creek and Pactolus. Situated in an aurifereus district these claims cannot fail to yield good returns, and in the future the dredges at work will doubtlessly prove their worthiness of support. The claims adjoining the Nelson Creek and Pactolus, have been watched with jealous care and it is pleasing to note that the Jamieson’s Reward claim is being floated by our most trusted local agencies. This property now being placed before the public has been thoroughly prospected, and the wash has proved to bo of a highly payable nature. Messrs Cutten Bros give the most favourable report, and their calculations iu connection with tire prospects prove the claim to be worthy of investment. The construction of the dredge will be at a minimum cost owing to the inexpensive transit of material. The value of this claim may he guaged by the willingness with which shares aro being applied for. The directors, Messrs Jay, Giescking, Wilson, Ring, Kitchingham, and E. A. Wickcs (Secretary) intend to push forward the erection of pontoons with all possible alacrity, and it is our hearty wish that the newly formed Company will gain distinction for itself by adding considerably to the output of gold from the West Coast.
