Major-General Douglas and Colonel Benson after hard fighting in the hills to tho eastward of Dullstroom dispersed the Boers and captured a laagqr and several prisoners. There were a few casualties on both sides.
Kruger has abandoned his proposed visit to America.
10,000 Capetown citizens presented Sir A. Milner with an address of thanks in recognition of his services. A Board of Officers, Liout-Col. Richards President, has been appointed to compile the official history of the part taken by the Queensland contingents in the South African campaign. The Boers under Do la Roy abandoned a very strong position 12 miles west of Klerksdop and dispersed west, south and north.
Do la Rey led a considerable body south.
The British were much disappointed at their dispersal.
