Mark Sprot and Co report their sale at Arahura, yesterday as follows The entry of fat cattle consisted of about 100 head. Those drafts that had been driven some distance suffered in appearance and values for those were accordingly easier. Best quality bullocks

met with keen competition and fetched increased values. Notwithstanding the inclement weather there was an unsually large attendance of buyers. A largo proportion of the entry fell to the bids of northern buyers. We sold :

On account of Mrs Batchelor, vealers from £2 10s.

On account of Messrs Olderog Bros., steers from £6 ss. On account of Mr Passmore, heifers from £6 ss. On account of Mr Gibb, 7 steers from £0 17s 6d ; 4 heifers from £5. On account of Mr A. 0. Scott, 12 bullocks from £8 10s ; 4 heifers from £6 7s 6d.

On account of Mr J. Staines, 5 heifers from £5 10; steers from £6 ss. On account of Mr H. Diedrichs, 29 |£C 15“..

Store Cattle—On account of various clients, 50 head at current rates.

Fat Sheep—On account of Messrs Abraham and Williams, 70 wethers at 225; 50 ewes at 19s 6d. On account of Mr H. Diedrichs, 50 light weight ewes and wethers at 14s, 16 lambs at 12s 3d.

At the wool sales yesterday the bidding was animated ; merinos, hardeneng and crossbreds firm.

The Gugeschin’s cargo of "Victorian wheat was sold at 30/1 gd.

Sydney, May 7.

The wool sales were resumed. The competition was general and active. Merinos are 6 to 7;f per cent higher, crossbreds slightly easier compared with the sales held a month ago. The top prices for greasy are 9dl, scoured 17£d.
