Tale of Blood Stock
London, May 5. Nine of E. S. Sievier’s horses were sold at Newmarket for 12,000g5. Toddington, Duke of Westminister, and Sceptre, for which Sievier last year gave very long prices, were not sold. Lord Ellesmere gave 5300 gs for King’s Courier. Newmarket Spring Meeting. At the Newmarket First Spring Meeting the race for the One Thousand Guineas resulted:—Aida (sic, probably should be Arta) 1, Fleurdete 2, Santa Brigade 3.
