Melbourne, May 2,
Tne decorations, owing to the recent bad weather, art* not in a very forward state,
The city is crowded with visitors and soldier?. The bay presents a lively appaerance with the foreign and Brittish warships. The former ace represented by 2323 officers and men, tho British by 2247 officers and men. The weather indications at present are not promising. New Zealand troops reach here to-mor-row.
Sydney, May 2,
The Warrimoo's contingent is considered a fine representive body. The men were much admii'ed and marched from the Union wharf, headed by a band, to tho barracks, wh.ro they were entertained at dinner.
They leave for Melbourne by special train to-night. They had a couple of days’ rough weather and suffered considerably from sea sickness. Otherwise all was pleasant aid well.
The Fiji unitors en route for Melbourne include the Hons J Rolls a.id E J Allaidyce.
