The weather was threatening in the morning for the second days racing, but remained line. About 2500 were present. £17,413 went through the machine for the meeting against £19,356 for the previous year. Results: Hiitt Handicap—Cameo 1, The Shannon 2, Fashion 3. Won comfortably. Time 143 3-stli. Div £3 9s. St Ledger Stakes-—Beddington 1, Connie Chid 2, Somerled 3. Won all the way, Time 811 3-5. Div £1 7s.
Hack Welter—Dormant 1. Cornea and Raoma dead heat for second place. Time 1 34. Div £lO 11s.
Autumn Handicap—Palaver 1, Fashion 2, Volley 3. All'started. Palaver, who was in front nearly all the way, won by a length. Time, 210 3-5 sees ; div., £(> Os. Cameo fell shortly after the start. Hurdles —Kohnnni 1. Right Metal 2, Sudor 3. Vanquish, fell after going six furlongs and gave Fahey a nasty shaking. Won by three lengths ; div., £lO ss. Pacific Handicap—San Patricia !. iVonette 2, The Shannon 3. Won all the way by two lengths. Time, 1 14 4-5; div., £3 4s. Suburban Handicap—Okoari 1, Ostial; 2, Rosolla 3. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 1 29 3-5 ; div., £5.
