TERRIBLE FIRE NEAR FRANKFORT

Received this day at 9 20 a.m. Berlin, April 2G. A great fire occurred at Grieshien in the electra chemical works near Frankfort on Maine. There were two terrific explosions of vats, containing Picric's acid used for the manufacture of smokeless powder. The flames spread rapidly leaping across the river Maine, and enenveloped the village of Schwanheim. A hundred persons were killed and injured.
