Sydney, This Day. Arrangements are being made for the Duke of York to present medals to tho soldiers who have returned from South ' Africa. A similar arrangement will probably bo made in other Btates. The Duke of York will despatch a message to the fc King immediately tho Commonwealth Parliament is opened. Amongst the Federal visitors en route from Freeman tie by the Himalaya are : Lady Kanfurly, Ladies E. and 0. Knox ; Major-General Sir E. Collen. representative of India, and Mulock, PostmasterGeneral of Canada, and their wives. Cheistchurch, This Day. Subject to the Governor's approval, tho Comwalls will reside at E. G. Rkodes's residence, Tekoraka, Merrivale.
