We are indebted to Mr. Joseph Steele, census enumerator, for the following figures of the recently taken census, which include Chinese as well as Europeans. Although the totals arc substantially correct, they are given subject to being checked. Total Population 1901 ... 4512 „ „ 1896 ... 4264
