The result was that the rider (Fowler) was reprimanded. Cup—Ruamahunga and Volley dead heat for first place, iSanfoin. 3. Div, Ruamahunga 55s and 365, Volley 30s and 13s. A good race and exciting finish. Ruainahunga was l.ving in a handy position at the rear of the field till reaching the straight when he came up and got on even terms with Volley just on the post. Sainfoin who carried 81bs overweight was about a length and a half behind, Trot—Honduras 1, Warrigal 2, Blackpool 3. Div, 33s and 18s. District Hack—lxia 1, First Light, 2, Dialogue 3. Div, 68s and 325. Grandstand Handicap—Eeikura 1, Seabreeze 2, Osborne 8. Div, 70s and 40s. Hope Hack—lxia 1, Horton 2. Tho Pearler 3. Div, 140 s.
