Ctiristchurcii, April 10. Mr A. F. G. Rhodes has been returc 0.l unopposed as Mayor of Christchurch.

Wellington, April 10

At Invercargill Messrs Horace Bassins, Chas. Loneuot and F. G. Stod wero ncmU nated for the Mayoralty.

Timaru, April 10. Councillors M'lntosh and M'Nab wero nominated for the Mayoralty. Wellington, April 10.

Mr John W. Aickon and Mr Thomas W. Wilford were to-day nominated for the City Mayoralty.

Twenty-four candidates were nominated for twelve seats in the City Council.

Wo congratulate Mr Grimmond on his election for tho eighth lime to the office of Mayor of Ross.

Mr Thomas Jones was returned unopposed for the Mayor of Kumara yesterday. This is his second term. For the Council —Messrs 0. W. Anderson, G. Anderson, J. S. Benyon, Evenden, Egglcton, M'Glone, Haymes, Jorgcnson, Marks and Olden have been nominated. There being one in access of the required number a poll will be taken this day week.
