M. De Griers also has been decorated. London', April 15. The instructions sent to Mr Rockhill, acting American Minister at Fekin. are to the effect that the number of troops employed by the various Powers should alone determine the amount and allotment of indemnities. Such a method would place ftreal Britain first, Japan next, and America third. It is semi-oflicially announced at Berlin, that exclusive of private claims for indemnities against China, Britain requires five million sterling, Germany twelve, France thirteen, and Russia seventeen.
Mr Rockhill mentions France's share at eight, while Japan, America and Britain together make sixteen millions. The total is sixty-three millions.
