Messrs G. W. Moss and Co: report yes terday's sale at Preston yards as follows: The entry was tho heaviest for some considerable time, there being 80 cattle and 360 sheep yarded, of which 20 cattle and IGB sheep ex ship, GG cattle and 192 sheep from Grey Valley. All lines were cleared; prices for cattle being easier, sheep maintaining late ruling rates. We placed the following stock—

Fat Cattle —On account of Mr E' Thompson, 10 light weight bullocks from £5 17s 6d to £0 7s 6d, averaging £G 4s; 2 heifers, £0 12s Gd. On account of Mr W. J. Coates, 15 prime bullocks from £6 12s 6d to £8 12s Gd, averaging £7 17. On account of Mr Charles Bellow, 16 prime quality bullocks from £6 15s to £9 15s, averaging £8 23. 10 prime heifers from £-1 10s to £6 15s, averaging £5 7s, On account Mr P. Corcoran, 14 prime heifers, £5 to £7, averaging £5 lis. On account of Mr P. Horn, 1 bullock, £5 5s 1 heifer, £4 15s.

Pat Sheep—On account of Mr M. Fox, 62 prime orossbreds, 20s. On account of Mr Charles Bellow, 123 prime crossbreds, 17s 6d. On account of Mr Struthors, 58 heivy crossbreds, 21s Gd. Fat Lambs—On account of Mr M, Fox, 10 at 13s 9d. On account of Mr Bedew, 8 at 13s 9d. Store Cattle —On account of Mr B. Thompson, 6,2. and 3 year old steers at £4 10s ; 6 cows at £4 5s ; IS heifers at £3 10s. We hold a sale of horses at Ashton's stables in the morning and placed 1 heavy draught gelding, 5 years old, £49 ; 1 medium draught gelding, £2l. Several other horses wore offered, but passed in, not realising vendors' ideas of values. Mark Sprot and Co. report their sa'e a l . Preston road yesterday—The yarding of beef was more than ample for requirements and current values were scarcely maintained. We sold on account of Messrs Abraham and Williams, 10 bullocks from £9 15s to £8 7s Gd; 10 heifers, £7 103. 125 heavy ewes and wethers at 19s Gd.
