Dunedin, April 12. The Sydney police have cabled for Conway's sister to give evidence in the murder case. She. will probably leave via, Melbourne on Monday. CnnisTCHuncn, April 12. Three more witnesses in the Conway case left for Sydney by the Tarawera -tonight. '-■•; .... ? fhe " Star states that one will give evidence to hearing Mrs. Smith say that she had seen a fortune-teller who had told her that she was about to take a sea trip, and that a man would die on board the ship. This witness also will depose to being' asked by Mrs. Smith what sort of poisoii strychnine was, whether it was; Bolid or liquid and also what wcro its

effect. The witness will also state that the day when Conway was alleged to have been drugged at Sumner Mrs. Smith had said she had given strychnine to a dog at Sumner and the animal had died immediately, amusing her very much by its convulsive struggles. Witness will further give evidence to having been told by Mrs. Smith that she had some pretty nuggets of gold, which she would show to' witness and which had been obtained from a claim near Dunedin. It is known that Conway had previous to the Sumner affair carried a number of small nuggets in his pocket-book.
