GOLD DREDGING.
Weatland's gold export for March was ! 14130 z lHdwts of the valuo of £5G55 12s! Mr Duncan Bringans and his men will commenco the prospecting of the Kohinoor Extended G. D. Company's claim on Monday. The Keystone borer is engaged at present on the Mikonui lliver G. D. Coy's claim, which is near the Kohinoor and Keefton United G. D. Companies property in the Boss district. As soon as the Keystone machine has finished the work on the Mikonui claim it will be taken to the Kohinoor G. D. Company's claim, which the directors have decided to have bored. According to the present conditioa of tho various contracts it seems the dredges in this part of Wcstland should commence work in the following order, viz : Perry's Reward, Hau Hau, Hokitika River, Poss Day Dawn, Kokinoor, Alymcr Lead, Prince of |Wales, Woodstock, and Commissioner's Flat, while several others should not be much later in beginning work.—Times. A cheering item (says tho " Post '•) _ to those who invested during the dredging boom, is that tho Hartley and Riley directors have declared a dividend of 5s j per share, payable on the 17th. !
