Nelson, April 11. For the Mayoralty of Nelson, Councillor H. Baigent and Mr F. Frask, have so far, been nominated. Coastal Officer's Association. Wellington, April 11. The officers of coastal and intercolonial vessels have formed themselves into an accoeiation which has been registered under the Conciliation and Arbitration Act and has an adherence of over 200 members, f Federal Contingent. Wellington, April 11. The training of the contingent to represent New Zealand at the Federation Parliament will probably be carried out in Christcliurcli. The 22nd inst is spoken of as the date of departure. Forty-one men are going from this district, all of whom have to be six feet in height or over.
Patent Slip Company. Wellington, April 11. The' Wellington Patent Slip Coy., shows a net profit for the year of £772. The directors recommend a dividend of eight per cent. Dunedin Tramway Co. Dunedin, April 11 At tho annual meeting of the Dunedin City and Suburban Tramway Co. the chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and after giving the history of the company and the negotiations which had resulted in the business passing into the hands of the corporation, said that the shareholders were going to receive a handsome dividend of approximately 10s per share. The report having been adopted Messrs George Fenwick, James Hazlett and E. B. Cargill were appointed liquidators at a remuneration of £6OO.
