London, April 1. The British column at Utrecht destroyed the agricultural implements and everything useful to the Boers.
Seven columns are rapidly encircling Kruitzinger.
Do Wet is in the neighborhood of Heidelberg. Two columns are pursuing him. Seven Boers were killed, nine wounded and 70 captured in the Do Wetsdqyp district. 1,500 horses were collected, and many surrenders are joining the Burgher police at Bloemfontein. S : r A. Milner agrees with the Outlanders’ commutscs to the resumption of work at Johannesburg as steady transit supplies permit. Such a step is calculated to contribute to the pacification of the country.
Zealanders Remaining at the Front. Wellington, April 1. The Premier has received a cable message from the ollicer commanding the New. Zealand regiment at Coairulspruit, stating that Captain Jackson and 25 men of his squadron, and Captains Abbott and Tuckey, Limits. Simpson, Batgcr and 10 men of the Fifth Contingent arc desirous of continuing on service. Lord Kitchener in a cablegram to the Governor 31st March, stated that the Second and Third Contingents would leave South Africa by the s.s. Tongariro to-day.
