University Boat Race.

London, March 30. Oxford won the University boat race by two feet after a ding-dong struggle. The race was rowed in a strong gusty wind and rain. Cambridge won the toss and chose the Snrsey station. The boats passed the Crabtree and ilaitunersmuh bridge on level tcvms. The water was fearfully rough to Chiswick Church, where Cambridge led by a length. This was increased to a length and a half at H imes bridge, where the water was comparatively smooth. Oxford then spurted magnificently and drew level again. At times Cambridge gamely responded, and there was a ding-dong struggle for the remainder of the course, Oxford winning by two feet. Time 22 31. Both crows were greatly distressed at the finish. Betting was 3to 1 Oxford before the race.
