It is a long while since wo had a visit of a company bringing such a high reputation and they should bo greeted with a crowded houso on their opening. Tho Company arrive by the Haupiri on Monday, wo clip tho following:—"Tho popularity of tho performance was evidenced by tho crowded audience which assembled last evening in tho City Hall. Bain, tho clever Australian eatnique Air Bain is an exceedingly clever artist, and has fully proved his versatility in his very amusing 'turn.' His imitation of various 'Styles of Singing ' was intensely funny, and his next appearance, as a Scotchman, who detailed his experiences with a chorus of ' I Never Enjoyed Myself so much Before,' highly amused the audience, and was loudly encored. 'At the Seaside' was another very clever Tocal sketch, and sent the audience into roars of laughter, Mr Bain's clever fa-

cial plriy was not the least amusing feature of his performance. His parodj on 'The Absent Minded Beggar' waj equally successful, and he had no reason to complain of his first reception by an Auckland audience."—Star, Auckland.
